                                                 Module 10 - Managing Stress and Anxiety








                               Special School                            Think Good, Feel Good with the
                               Secondary (GLD)                                  school counsellor.
                               Aged 11-16 yrs




           We approached this module in many ways.
           There were group and individual sessions
           with the school counsellor who taught the
           students about the power of negative and
           positive thoughts. He also taught them some
           calming techniques. Some groups tried yoga
           and meditation. There is a weekly challenge
           to practise mindfulness with different targets
           each week. Some groups relaxed through
           expressing emotions via artwork. Others
           preferred exercise and walking in nature to
           relax and we created some mini zen gardens
           for students to practice being peaceful and                       Trying yoga positions
