Module 3 - Internet Safety and Online Bullying

Upper Secondary School Safer internet day
Aged 14-19 yrs

Our school aims at the development of
eSafety and follows the national and European
policy being particularly active in the fight
against cyberbullying with various initiatives,
addressed to teachers and students aimed at
the prevention, identification, elimination of
it, especially because the problems connected
to cyberbullying are an obstacle to psycho-
physical health and well-being and to the full
personal development.
Class teachers dedicated part of their program
to educational activities aimed at interpersonal
relationships and online communication in
social networks. On Safer Internet Day 2018 Conference on CyberBullying
many activities were carried out in the classes:
the pupils were involved in group activities
and produced a digital presentation in Italian
and English with the theme “A better internet
starts with you”. Also, a school conference day
was dedicated to the topic in collaboration
with Kiwanis -Sicily Division with experts in the
field. The students told stories of their peers
who were victims of abuses in the network.
