Upper Secondary School First municipal compost bin
Aged 14-19 yrs

In our school and local area, we are very
sensitive to this global issue and various
projects and activities were carried out.
Some of them were: the inauguration of the
first municipal compost bin in a meeting with
the zero-waste association the mayor and
city council. The experience allowed students
to acquire knowledge on waste disposal and
circular economy techniques and to deal with
good practices and virtuous behaviour.
A conference by Fabio Morreale, president of
the Natura Sicula, a naturalistic association
followed by lot of learning tours in naturalistic Natura Sicula Conference
preserved areas. Swallowed monuments,
coasts, landscapes and cultural heritage,
devoured by buildings built in the absence
of rules and controls. The importance of the
provincial landscape plan and preservation
natural beauty.
