Module 8 - Environmental Awareness

Special School Creating news reports about
Secondary (GLD) environmental issues
Aged 11-16 yrs

We approached this module by looking at local
issues such as littering or dumping rubbish
and then at bigger issues like deforestation,
oil spills and fossil fuels pollution. We also
considered whether graffiti is art or an
environmental issue.

Our school has many eco-friendly features and
we created a PowerPoint to demonstrate this.
The students embarked on a litter picking and
recycling campaign and created new recycle
bins for the school corridors. There is a school
eco team that collect recyclables each week Designing school posters
and a group joined in the Great British Beach
Clean.
