On Friday 11th October, Ribble students and staff went on a trip to the Imperial War Museum North in Manchester. The educational visit linked in with their English unit dealing with evacuation during World War Two. As well as viewing the amazing range of exhibits, the students also got to try on some helmets from World War Two. Every hour there was a film shown on the walls of the museum. The second film was about animals in war which fitted in perfectly with the kennings and cinquains poetry unit creating poetry about war animals.
The trip was a fantastic experience, as you can see by the happy faces:
