At PCHS & C we pride ourselves on the variety of opportunities we provide for our students. We are always looking out for new experiences and support our pupils to access as many as possible. Not every child can access the after school clubs that we provide so we include clubs on the timetable and have an extended lunch club offer every Wednesday so that all pupils can have the opportunity to try new things and make new friends.

This is further supported through some of our core values and curriculum drivers, as well as specific subject areas, policies and visiting professionals.

Examples include:

  • Educational visits
  • RE, PSHE, RSE, Citizenship
  • Targeted assemblies
  • Healthy relationships workshops
  • Forest School / Coldwell activity centre
  • Residentials including Erasmus trips
  • PAC/ Palladin- Connect and respect sessions e.g. Gender stereotypes, Online Safety, Friendship conflicts
  • List of clubs offered
  • Bikeability sessions
  • Cinema/ pantomime trips
  • After school clubs
  • Community projects
  • Ark barn, D of E
  • Preparing and planning for guest buffets and the Prom
  • Equality policy and objectives
  • Positive relationships & Behaviour policy
