This year, We CAN… Charitable Trust and Pendle Community High School have joined forces to bring the magic of Christmas to those in need. Positive Action in the Community (PAC), a dedicated charity supporting vulnerable individuals and families, called on the community to help spread hope and joy this festive season by sponsoring a room at Safespace or a Safehouse Family.
For a contribution of £100, sponsors can make a real difference in the lives of young people and families facing hardship. Our sponsorship provides:
-
A festive Christmas tree: The heart of any Christmas celebration.
-
Sparkling decorations: Creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
-
Gifts under the tree: Bringing joy and excitement on Christmas morning.
-
Cosy Christmas Eve pyjamas: For a comfortable and special night.
In addition, our school participated in PAC’s shoebox appeal, donating a bundle of wrapped shoeboxes filled with essentials and Christmas treats. Leroy Philbrook from PAC visited our school to receive the donation, presented by Billie-Jean, who organized the effort, and our Deputy Headteacher Joanne Chatburn.
It brings us immense joy to give to those in need at Christmas, and we are incredibly proud of our school community for making this happen.
