On 22nd September we held a coffee morning for parents and carers and invited the Greener Together team from Pendle to come and have a chat. The charity, which is part of the Together Housing Group, focuses on helping the local community through supporting people into employment, enhancing their skills, creating opportunities to thrive and engaging with the natural environment. The team explained what the project was about and were on hand to provide impartial and independent energy saving advice to help limit the impact of the current cost-of-living crisis and educate our families on what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint. The coffee morning was full of handy tips and the team gave out a goody bag to all of the attendees which included a draught excluder, lightbulbs and other handy items!
