The holiday spirit swept through our school on the 20th of December as staff and students came together for our annual whole school and college Christmas lunch. Transforming the refectory into a festive haven, the dedicated kitchen staff adorned tables with delightful decorations and Christmas crackers. Students and staff were treated to a choice between the traditional turkey dinner or a vegetarian option, both generously accompanied by an array of festive trimmings that left taste buds tingling. The indulgence didn’t end there; the main meal was followed by a choice of classic trifle or delightful biscuits, adding a sweet conclusion to the festivities.
What truly made the event special was the whole school coming together with joy and festive spirit. The vibrant display of Christmas jumpers, Santa hats, elegant party attire and formal wear just added to the Christmas cheer. Noise and laughter resonated through the refectory. After everyone had eaten, we took a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the kitchen staff, whose dedication and hard work had made the event a resounding success. Tokens of appreciation in the form of well-deserved tubs of celebrations were handed over, symbolising the collective gratitude felt by all. This annual tradition of unity and celebration embodies the true essence of the festive season, making memories that will last long after the plates have been cleared.
