On Wednesday 28th February, Mrs Endersby saw an appeal on Colne Open Door Centre’s Facebook page asking for support with their food bank. This year they have supported over 1200 families and they had found themselves in a situation where they had run out of food completely. We sent out our own appeal to staff and to our families and we were inundated with kind donations.
Today, our Head and Deputy Head boys and girls joined Ms Grogan and Mrs Endersby on a visit to Colne Open Door Centre to deliver the items we had collected. The staff were very grateful and explained that since the appeal they have received lots of generous donations and they had honoured each donation by hanging a tag on their donations tree. We would like to say a big thank you to our generous families and staff for helping this amazing local cause.
