Claire Endersby
Assistant Headteacher / DSL

Hi, I'm Claire Endersby. I have worked with children with SEND in various roles for 18 years and I have worked at PCHS&C for the last 6. I am now the team leader for pastoral and have senior leadership oversight. I am really proud of the team we have developed and all of the support we can offer our young people and families. I am a THRIVE practitioner and have also completed recent training in Early Help. Graded Care Profiling, Emotionally socially Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Alison McConville
Family Liaison Officer / Deputy DSL

Hi I'm Alison, I have worked in mainstream and special education as well as children's social care for the last 29 years in various roles. I have been a Family Liaison Officer/Deputy DSL for the last 21 years, 15 years in a mainstream primary school and 6 years at PCHS&C.

I am passionate about supporting parents/carers and their families. I am a Thrive Practitioner with a focus on family interventions, and a Mental Health First Aider. I am trained in Drawing and Talking as well as Advanced Drawing and Talking. I have completed Early help training, Graded Care profiling, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Emotionally socially Based School Avoidance (EBSA) . 

Amy Phillips
HLTA - Behaviour & Interventions

Hi, my name is Amy Phillips and I have worked in education for the last 15 years. I have mostly worked in mainstream but have worked in special school settings as well. I am passionate about working with children to enable them to break down barriers and to achieve their best possible outcomes to learning. I have recently completed Attachment lead training which helps to establish an attachment and trauma aware approach to children in school.

Other training I have recently completed includes: Early help assessment and analysis, Family radar, Child's voice, Relationship toolkit, EBSA, TAF role and responsibility. 

Karen Butcher
HLTA - Behaviour & Interventions

Hi, my name is Karen Butcher & I have worked with young people for 30years, the last 18 in special educational settings working with a wide range of pupils with additional needs. I am a licensed Thrive Practitioner and ELSA trained (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) which consists of planning & implementing interventions around loss and bereavement, self-esteem, social skills, friendship issues, managing strong feelings, emotional regulation, and growth mindset.

I have also completed my level 2 counselling course, mental health first aid, girls on board, drawing and talking therapy, trauma informed workshop, voice of a child, life story, ACEs and Emotional based school avoidance training. I am passionate about helping to support the pupils with their social and emotional skills in order to help them not only thrive in the classroom but in the outside world too.
