Post 16 Curriculum Overview

At Pendle Community College, we believe that all of our students are entitled to a stimulating and challenging education within which they know that their achievements are celebrated and further potential nurtured.

We believe that our students learn and thrive in an environment of high expectations and positive attitudes were teaching is efficiently delivered by a professional team of highly motivated and well trained staff.

We believe that all of our students have the potential to learn new skills throughout College and into the wider community. They will all have unique contributions to make to life outside of the school contributing to their family, friends and the local community.

We believe that our College should be structured yet innovative, challenging yet compassionate so that teaching can be flexible and exciting whilst never losing sight of each student’s need to constantly learn and make progress.

We believe that we should foster understanding and positive attitudes towards our students in both our co-located campus and the wider community of Nelson and Colne.

My son always looks forward to coming to college and feels valued as an individual. He is always celebrated for what he can do and takes pride in what he has achieved. Staff always go the extra mile to make sure he has support and encouragement that he needs.
