Pendle Community High School and College (PCHS&C) is an outstanding, co-located, community special school for students with generic learning difficulties. We have 162 students on roll (ages 11 -19), with a variety of special educational needs including autistic spectrum disorders, speech, language and communication needs, and physical, medical and/or sensory needs.

We are seeking to appoint a number of Teaching Assistants Level 1 to primarily support classes of students within school in a casual and more flexible capacity.

Pendle Community High School and College moved into new purpose-built accommodation in 2008, where it is co-located with a mainstream secondary school. Our school and college both therefore provide an exciting and enriching environment, with a range of opportunities for social and educational inclusion.

The successful candidates would be joining a highly committed and dynamic staff team making a real difference to the lives of families, carers and young people with special educational needs.

Pendle Community High School and College are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and ambitious teacher to join our outstanding secondary special school and college for generic learning difficulties on an ad hoc basis. We have a thriving school population and currently have 162 students on roll (ages11 -19). These students have a combination of moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties, including autistic spectrum disorders and other associated needs.

We are seeking to appoint a number of teachers within school in a casual and more flexible capacity who we can call upon to cover for any absence.

Pendle Community High School is situated in purpose-built accommodation, co-located with a mainstream secondary school, providing a wealth of opportunities for social and educational inclusion.

The successful candidate would be making a real difference to the lives of young people with special educational needs.

If you are a qualified teacher with experience of working for children with a range of special educational needs (including moderate and severe learning difficulties) and managing and delivering a highly differentiated curriculum (from engagement steps, thematic approach and/ or the National Curriculum) this post may be an ideal opportunity for you. The role could include working in either Key Stage 3 and 4 and also Key Stage 5 where the emphasis is on Vocational Education, Life skills and the Preparing for Adulthood agenda.
